The Canon PB-E2 Power Booster was developed together with the Canon EOS-3 camera to increase the motor drive performance of the camera. Its addition will allow you to attain the camera's maximum shooting speed. It has been uniquely designed with a comfortable grip and controls for both horizontal and vertical shooting. In addition to the Canon EOS-3, it can be attached to the EOS-1, EOS-1 N, and EOS-1v cameras. Performance: With shooting speeds up to 7fps, the PB-E2 exceeds the performance of anything else in its class. It offers two gear trains, Hi/Lo, and a high actuator dedicated to prime the shutter and mirror. In 'Hi' speed gear train and high-speed exposure sequence, the PB-E2 works in conjunction with the EOS-3s high-speed 32-bit microprocessor to achieve its maximum shooting speed of 7fps in all focusing modes including Al-Servo AF. Used on the EOS-1v the PB-E2, when powered by the NP-E2 battery pack, can achieve frame rates as high as 10 frames per second! The camera automatically switches to 'Hi' speed gear train mode when used with the NIMH Battery Pack NP-E2, which is the power source of choice for maximum Booster efficiency. Controls: Ergonomically designed vertical grip controls include a shutter button, AE Lock button, FE Lock/multi-spot metering button, Main Dial, and focusing point selector.
