The ECM-HGZ1 Gun Zoom Microphone enables synchronization of the sound recorded by the Handycam's internal microphone with the zoom positioning. Variable Directivity Pattern: Super-cardioid shotgun for telephoto zoom, cardioid for wide shots. Automatically synchronized with camcorder zoom. Available with three setting positions for use in a variety of video shooting situations. Works with Active Interface Shoe. Powered by camcorder, needs no separate battery.
